Easter Eggstravaganza

I should be studying for exams right now but it's sooooo boring, so instead I will share with you some photos from our Easter Eggstravaganza Weekend. Ooo posting photos during study time is so naughty...! I'm a wild and crazy gal, I tell ya. All in all it was a great weekend. We had about a gazillion temper tantrums mainly due to over-excitement, but also because I wouldn't let him eat ALL his chocolate in one sitting. We got far too much chocolate. Why the in-laws think that a two-year-old should have a chocolate bunny that is almost half his height is beyond me. All that happens is that Mr Earth and I (meaning mostly me) end up eating it for him. And I wonder why I keep gaining weight...hmm.

But really, this post is all about the gratuitous photos of the Boy, so here goes:

Elmo loves Easter because the Easter Bunny hides chocolate eggs in his crotch. No wonder he keeps laughing like a maniac.

Hands-down the best part of Easter was hiding the eggs in plain sight, giving explicit directions to the Boy to "go look on the chair", and this is the result. Good times.

The reward for mummy making me work so hard. How sweet it is.

Hope everyone had as great a weekend as we did!

Hmm. I, on the other hand, have a little kid who fondled her chocolate and never took a SINGLE BITE and then ate 3 hot cross buns over at a friend's place this afternoon. Weird child. I'm doing my best to stay away from all the chocolate sitting on the table.

I don't know whether it's more disturbing that you and Mr. Earth hid chocolate in Elmo's crotch, or that The Boy knew where to find it. :)

Ooh those are great pics. I love the middle one best...

And is he a redhead too? I'm trying to decide if it's just the light or not but I think I need help...

Ya, we didn't bother to hide the eggs b/c we knew she'd be all spazzy trying to find them. We just led her to the basket. She called the eggs baseball bats and has befriended the foil-wrapped mini-chocolate bunnies. She still has no clue any of it is edible.

Cute pictures. I agree with Sin that the Boy is looking a mite read-headed.

Since we have the three, we had to hide eggs both in very, very clever places AND in plain sight - and then warn the older two away from finding the baby's eggs.
Doesn't he look like he's having fun! Good times!

My dad was having the same fun with Pumpkinpie at his house! We try to keep it sane by getting several small bits of chocolate, like those little Lindt bunnies and carrots, and stringing them out for a long time.

Cinnamon & Mad: He is more strawberry-blond. It does come out quite red in photos, though, for some reason.

Funny how you have to teach them about this stuff ... and then they learn it all too well (ie: chocolate induced tantrums ...)

I guess this is our last year with no chocolate for easter. Uh-oh.

Great pics!

So Cute.
and lucky Elmo?
I am throwing out the very large, not very good, chocolate bunnies before I eat them all too.

I loved the Elmo joke. Actually this year no one gave Samantha any chocolate! Thank God, so I wouldn't have to eat it.
About the Sopranos opener. I enjoyed it, I know it wasn't too action packed, but I enjoy any episode they do. And I couldn't stop staring at that cottage view. My husband didn't enjoy the first episode too much, probably because it had a lot of parts where you had to think!

CUTE!!

My kids ran around like maniacs on Easter Sunday...they'd found the eggs the bunny had hidden long before their parents dragged their sorry asses out of bed...
