Switched at Birth?

While at a dance party in support of a wicked cool new moms blog, Mr Earth snapped the following photo:

Now, when he's a teenager and he does something that exasperates me, I can't use the time-honoured maternal guilt trip: "The hospital must have sent me home with the wrong baby, because you are not behaving like any son of mine...!"

Oh well. Apple --> meet tree.

I guess the real question here is: does he look like an aging mom, or do I look like a cute little boy?

Happy Mother's Day! Rock on, peeps.

You are both GORGEOUS. I can't believe how not-like-a-baby they are getting.

Totally missed you on the weekend. I was a single mom with a rashy baby. Le sigh.

adorable!

MQ looks so much like her daddy it's ridiculous. i figure the only way she isn't mine is if someone else at the hospital was giving birth to a The Big Guy's baby the same day. and since we moved while I was pregnant, the chances of that are pretty slim (I mean, they are nonexistent regardless, but you get the idea...)

Awww! I think it is the smiling eyes that is the clincher.

Our local paper had a mother daughter look-alike contest for mother's day. There was no way I was ever going to be a contender. A mother son look-alike contest? You guys would win hands down.

there's something lovely about a baby who looks just like his mama. not that i would know...mine are both like clones of their father. perhaps that's why i'm gazing so wistfully at you & the cutie.

He doesn't look like an aging mom so I guess that leaves only one option...
